Environment Bank

We are looking for forward-thinking landowners to help us create a UK network of habitat banks. These habitat banks provide a secure long term income for those who own the land and a safe, biodiverse haven for nature.

It works by leasing your land for a 30-year term to Environment Bank, and together we create a biodiverse habitat bank that the landowner is contracted to deliver. We develop a management plan to work with existing land management plans, and our team of ecologists provide annual structured support and guidance. The Environment Bank can then use the habitat banks to help organisations achieve their biodiversity net gain requirements.

We are fully funded, which means there is no risk or cost, we cover all habitat creation fees, and we pay the first year’s rent upfront, followed by guaranteed annual management payments for the full 30 year term.
