Put away your games console, and shut down all social media, we have found the ultimate in farm simulation technology.

John Deere have developed a six-screen, fully immersive combine simulator to so you can cut perfect fields of wheat under blue skies all year – if that is your thing.

Costing £26,000, it has been put together to allow new combine drivers to get to grips with everything on offer before they climb into the seat of a real-life machine worth a six-figure sum.

As machines get increasingly laden down with electronic gadgetry, keeping on top of all the bells and whistles can be a difficult job.

However, as John Deere territory customer support manager James O’Meara explained, although machines are getting more complicated, many of the functions are there to simplify the life of the operator, and help one of the most stressful jobs of the year go as smoothly as possible.
